Courses

At WISEL we offer a range of courses. There is a morning session from 9 am to 12.00 pm, with a fifteen minute break, and then an afternoon session from 1.00pm to 3pm.  On Fridays, instead of an afternoon class, students can participate in a special activity organised by the School, do self-study, or take extra tuition classes.  Students will normally receive 10 hours of homework every week.

Our general English courses are designed for students who are seeking to improve their practical use of English in all situations including business, social situations and travel. The course will give you a solid grounding in speaking, reading and writing English in everyday situations. Your English ability will be graded when you arrive at the WISEL and you will be placed in a class which is appropriate to your level. The classes range from beginner, intermediate, upper intermediate and advanced.

All courses are delivered in a professional manner by qualified and experienced teachers. Although the teachers follow a curriculum and use a textbook, the classes are interesting and enjoyable. There is plenty of practical use of English designed to improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. At the completion of your course you will be awarded a competency certificate verifying your achievements at WISEL.

All of our Courses are approved and accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.  Our Courses are designed using the Common European Framework, which is the international bench-mark for language learning.
