Parent and Child Family Programme

PARENT & CHILD FAMILY PROGRAMME

This programme is designed for families who wish to experience New Zealand life as a family and learn English together and/or for parents who wish to chaperon their family members while they are studying English at WISEL. The parents or family members can study English at WISEL while younger children can join a local school and study and play alongside local kids.

How does it work?

Children under 5 years old can attend a local pre-school or kindergarten or WISEL can arrange private childcare.

Children aged 5 – 10 can attend a local primary school  (Mon-Fri 8:45am – 3pm)

Children aged 11 + can attend the local College (8.40am – 3.20pm)

Parent/s and older children can attend an English Language course at WISEL  (Part-time 15 hours a week or fulltime 23 hours a week)

How long can you study for?

We recommend enrolment for longer than four weeks so the family can truly experience the “kiwi lifestyle” while learning English in a school and different cultural environment. The enrolment needs to be in New Zealand school term times.
